Blooming Buds School Celebrated Holi Festival

Blooming Buds School, a renowned educational institution of the area, celebrated Festival of Holi during the morning assembly under the leadership of BBS Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini. Students made charts with very attractive colours related to Holi. Articles and poems were presented by the students. Through the article, the students learned about the history of the holy festival of Holi, they said that the traditions of Holi vary across the country and have their roots in Indian mythology. In many places this festival is associated with the King Hiranyakship, Hiranyakaship enlists the help of his sister Holika to kill his son Prahlad, a devout worshiper of Lord Vishnu. In an attempt to burn Prahlad, Holika sat with him on a pyre while wearing a sheet that protected her from the fire. But the sheet protected Prahlad and Holika was burnt. Later that night Lord Vishnu succeeds in killing Hiranyakship and the event is heralded as the victory of good over evil. In many places in India, a huge bonfire is lit on the night before Holi, also known as Holika Dahan to mark the occasion. In other places of India, the story of Krishna and Radha is also associated with the festival of Holi. The story is that Lord Krishna fell in love with Radha. But he was ashamed that their complexion is black and Radha’s complexion is fair. To remedy this he along with Radhas and other gopis playfully painted their faces. It is believed to be the origin of colored water and throwing powder. General fun is also seen as characteristic of Krishna who is known for his fun and playfulness. On this occasion, school principal Dr. Hamilia Rani congratulated all the students and staff on the holy festival of Holi.
