Blooming Buds School celebrated International Women’s Day
International Women’s Day celebrated under the leadership of Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini in Blooming Buds School, a renowned educational institution of Moga city today. During which the school children presented beautiful charts, poems, articles etc. and said that International Women’s Day is not associated with any one country, group or organization. This day is dedicated to all women around the world. The main purpose of celebrating this day is to create awareness to remove gender bias and discrimination. Because in the society we are living in today, women are still not getting the respect and rights they deserve. It is very important for us to recognize, celebrate and raise awareness of the achievements of women. They said that this day is celebrated every year on March 8 in honour of women because there are many women who have contributed greatly to the progress of the country in addition to the responsibility of the house. Women are contributing in many other fields, whether it is in the field of Education, Sports, Politics or any other field. School Principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani congratulated all the women on this special day. She said that this special day is a day to honour women working in different fields and celebrate their achievements. She invited all the women Teachers, Cleaners and School Van Helpers working in the school on the stage and the students thanked them for their services with applause. School Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini congratulated whole female staff on Women’s Day and said that the status of women in the society is very high that if a child (boy) is educated then only one family studies but if a girl is educated then her entire generation is literate and intelligent. She described feminine power as the embodiment of renunciation. She specifically said that women are not behind in any work, women should also get equal rights and dignity with men. Our gurus and Saints have also given a high status to women. Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji has also written in praise of the woman that “SO KYUN MANDA AKHIYE JIT JAMME RAJAAN”. This means that the mother who has given birth to big Kings, Brave Warriors in this world, should not be called bad and should be given equal honour and respect. On this occasion, the students took their views regarding the International Women Day from the mothers who arrived at the school for the Parents Teacher Meeting.
