Chand Nawan Blooming Buds Sen. Sec. School celebrated Baisakhi and Dr. BR Ambedkar Jayanti

Baisakhi festival and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti was celebrated with great fanfare at Blooming Buds Senior Secondary School, Chand Nawan, part of BBS Group of Schools, a renowned educational institution group of District Moga, running under the patronage of Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Group Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini. On this occasion, dance was performed by the students of Kindergarten section and very beautiful charts related to this day were made. Speaking on this occasion, Principal Mrs. Anjana Rani said that Baisakhi is a famous festival of India, which is celebrated every year in the month of Baisakh with great fanfare all over India. Due to the connection of many contexts in history, its importance has become more than before. Actually earlier this festival was considered to be seasonal. When the month of Baisakh comes, summer begins and the crops are ready in the fields. The farmer dances with joy to see his crops ready. Many pages of our history are connected with this festival of Baisakhi. Khalsa Panth founded by Guru Gobind Singh ji at Anandpur Sahib on this day itself. On the auspicious day of Baisakhi, 13.04.1919, a terrible incident of violence took place in Amritsar’s Jallianwala Bagh. Thousands of unarmed people gathered in this garden were shot by the British Officer General Dyer. These heroes laid down their lives for the freedom of the country and paved the way for the liberation of Indians. Madam Raman Sharma and Baljit Kaur shed light on the life of Dr. BR Ambedkar and told that he wrote the Constitution of India. The school staff and students were present on this occasion.
