World Labour Day celebrated at Blooming Buds School

Blooming Buds School, a renowned educational institute of the area celebrated World Labour Day under the leadership of BBS Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini. On this occasion, charts and articles were presented by the students. While presenting the article, they said that World Labour Day is celebrated every year on May 1 in many countries around the world. It is the day to recognize and honour the contributions of workers to society and to demand better working conditions and workers’ rights. The history of Labour Day dates back to the late 19th century when labour movements in the United States and Europe fought for better working conditions and shorter working hours. On May 1, 1886, thousands of workers in the United States went on strike to demand an eight-hour workday. The strike turned violent, and several workers were killed by the police. This event, known as the Haymarket Affair, became a turning point in the labour movement and led to the establishment of Labour Day. On this occasion, The School Principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani gave information, that Labour Day is celebrated on May 1 every year. We must recognize the contribution of workers and support efforts to protect their rights. She appreciated the contribution of all the drivers, helpers working in the school and thanked them. She said that businessmen can buy a factory by investing money, but it cannot run without workers. Labour Day is celebrated to give importance to their contribution. Labour Day is not just a time off from work. It is a day to reflect on the struggles and achievements of the labour movement, and to renew our commitment to building a more just and equitable society for all workers.
