Chand Nawan Blooming Buds Senior Secondary School celebrated ‘World Environment Day’

Blooming Buds Senior Secondary School, village Chand Nawan, Baghapurana, a part of the reputed educational institutions of District Moga, BBS Group of Schools which are running under the able patronage of Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Madam Kamal Saini. World Environment Day was celebrated. A 10-day summer camp is going on at Chand Nawan Blooming Buds Senior Secondary School. On the day of the summer camp, World Environment Day was celebrated at the school campus. School Principal Mrs. Anjana Rani said that this day was celebrated with the theme of ecosystem restoration. On this day, saplings were planted at the school campus. World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5 by people of more than 100 countries. It was declared and established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1972, although the event has been celebrated annually since 1973. Its annual program is based on a special or theme announced by the United Nations. On this occasion, Madam Raman Sharma said that this campaign is celebrated every year by different cities, during which international exhibitions are held for a whole week.  Through the organization of this campaign, the United Nations creates awareness and enthusiasm among people about the environment. It is an effective annual campaign to gain positive public action and political attention. Various activities and programs are organized to make it more effective and to fulfill the objectives of the particular topic or theme of the year. Various activities like essay writing, paragraph writing, speeches, plays, corner rallies, quiz competitions, art and painting competitions, art and painting competitions, parades, debates etc. are conducted at BBS Chandanwan. Competitions related to this day were also conducted. The third day of the summer camp was in the name of rifle shooting. The students were taught the tricks of rifle shooting by experts.
