Blooming Buds School paid Tribute to Shaheed Bhagat Singh on his birth anniversary
Blooming Buds School, a renowned educational institution of Moga city, under the able leadership of Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Madam Kamal Saini paid a tribute to Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh on his birth anniversary. On this occasion, students presented beautiful charts of Shaheed Bhagat Singh and also shared information related to Bhagat Singh’s life. On this occasion, the school principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani presented flowers of devotion to Shaheed Bhagat Singh. While sharing information with those students, she said that Shaheed Bhagat Singh was born on 28 September 1907 in Banga village of Lyallpur district (present day Pakistan). He was born to Mata Vidyavati ji at the house of Kishan Singh ji. Bhagat Singh’s entire family was steeped in patriotism. His grandfather was a warrior in the army of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, his grandfather, father and both uncles Ajit Singh and Swaran Singh were part of India’s freedom movement. Bhagat Singh was talented and hardworking from his childhood and was imbued with the spirit of patriotism as he was born in a family of patriots. Bhagat Singh was very fond of reading books due to which he was proficient in Punjabi, English, Hindi and Urdu languages. After school, Bhagat Singh started participating in anti-British government activities during his college education. He organized the Youth Bharat Sabha in 1926 and later became part of the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association under the influence of Chandra Shekhar Azad. Meanwhile, Lala Lajpat Roy was injured and martyred in a lathi charge while opposing the ‘Simon Commission’. Chandra Shekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh and their associates vowed to avenge the death of Lala Lajpat Rai ji and planned the assassination of British officer Scott but due to mistaken identity, Scott’s delusional John P. Saunders was killed in the attack and Bhagat Singh escaped with his companions. After this, Bhagat Singh and Batukeshwar Dutt threw a bomb in the Central Legislative Assembly and got themselves arrested. Even in jail, Bhagat Singh went on a hunger strike fighting for his and other prisoners’ rights, before which the British government had to bow down. Bhagat Singh and his accomplices were tried in the Saunders murder case in jail and Rajguru, Sukhdev and Bhagat Singh were sentenced to death and on 23 March 1931, Bhagat Singh along with his accomplices were hanged. Madam told the students that we should learn from the life of Bhagat Singh. All staff and students were present on this occasion.
