Blooming Buds School hosted a Sports Tournament under ‘Drug Free Moga (Punjab)’ theme.
As a concerted effort to advocate a healthy lifestyle and curb the prevalence of drugs among the youth, a grand sports tournament was organized in Moga district under the leadership of Hon’ble Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mr. J Elanchezhian at Blooming Buds School. This event showcased several sports competitions including cricket, volleyball, badminton and tug of war. The main objective behind conducting these exciting sports was to encourage the younger generation to adopt a healthy and active approach to life. Sports were to be promoted as a means to promote physical fitness and avoid drug abuse. Sports competitions were started by the Chairman of BBS Group Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini. He welcomed the Honorable Senior Police Captain Mr. J Elanchezhian with a bouquet of flowers. While giving information, he said that different teams representing different police divisions participated actively in this sports competition. It was attended by a team of local press, a team of lawyers from Moga and an enthusiastic contingent from BBS Moga. SSP Moga, who is a driving force behind the initiative, emphasized the vital role of sports in channeling the energy and enthusiasm of the youth minds in a positive direction. In a fair talk, the SSP highlighted the urgent need to redirect the youth’s attention towards sports to curb the dangerous path of drugs. The SSP remarked, “Youths are the future of our country. It is very important to channelize their vitality in constructive ways like sports; otherwise, they may unwittingly turn to drug abuse. A few days back, a marathon was organized by the police department in Moga district along with various NGOs to spread the message of a drug free society. This sports competition is another important step in this direction. SSP Moga thanked Chairman for his valuable help and support. He appreciated the efficiency and smooth organization of the sports event in a short period of time. The school’s commitment to not only fostering academic excellence, but also promoting a culture of physical activity and fitness among young people was acknowledged. During this, Blooming Buds School Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini expressed concern about the current situation of drugs in Punjab and explained the importance of concerted efforts to create a drug free society. “Drug abuse has caused a lot of damage to the social fabric of Punjab. It is imperative for educational institutions and society to unite to spread awareness about drugs and create an environment that keeps our young generation away from such harmful effects. BBS Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini was honored by the office of the Senior Police Captain along with this, SP Head Quarter Manmeet Singh Ji, SP.
