Blooming Buds School Moga celebrated ‘New Punjab Day’ with great enthusiasm

Blooming Buds School, a renowned educational institution of Moga city, under the leadership of Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Madam Kamal Saini, celebrated ‘New Punjab Day’ with great enthusiasm. During the morning assembly in the school, the students presented very beautiful charts and informative articles related to this day and Punjab state. A dance was presented by the students of the junior class. Children of junior classes arrived at school in Punjabi attires which looked very charming. The children of the senior classes performed role-plays of many great personalities associated with Punjab. Apart from this, many items related to Punjabi culture like Charkhas, fans etc. were also prepared by the children. Punjabi folk dance Bhangra performed by boys and Gidha performed by girls won everyone’s hearts. Sharing information related to this day, the students said that ‘New Punjab Day’ is celebrated on November 1 every year. On this day in the year 1966, Punjab was divided into three parts with the formation of Haryana, Himachal and New Punjab. After that the school principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani shared the information and said that the heritage of Punjabi language and Punjab is very deep, about the written language in Punjab, they said that Gurmukhi script is used but the books we are reading are is in classical language. At one time, five rivers Sutlej, Beas, Ravi, Chenab and Jhelum flowed in the land of Punjab, hence its name Panj+Aab (Five Waters) Punjab. The Sutlej, Beas, and Ravi rivers flow into the new Punjab. It is worth mentioning that on this occasion the Chairperson Madam Kamal Saini pointed out that such events which keep us connected with our heritage are organized in the organization so that the children stay connected with their rich heritage and they get complete information about their heritage.
