Students made very beautiful charts related to this day. On this occasion, a rangoli competition was organized between different houses of the school. Speaking on the occasion, Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Madam Kamal Saini said that Diwali, also known as Deepavali, is a lively and joyous festival celebrated by millions of people around the world, mainly Hindus. The word Diwali is derived from the Sanskrit word Deepavali, which means a row of lights. The festival symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and good over evil, making it one of the most important and beloved festivals in the Hindu calendar. The historical and religious significance of Diwali varies among different regions and communities of India. One of the most common stories associated with Diwali is the return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya after defeating Ravana. Giving birth to the tradition of lighting lamps on Diwali, the people of Ayodhya celebrated their return by lighting lamps and decorating the city. In South India, the festival of Diwali is celebrated to honor Lord Krishna’s victory over Narakasura. In Sikhism, Diwali is celebrated as Bandi Chhor Divas commemorating Guru Hargobind Ji’s release from prison. Jains also celebrate Diwali as it marks the attainment of Nirvana or spiritual awakening of Lord Mahavira. Principal Mrs. Anjana Rani said that Diwali is usually a five-day celebration, each day of which has its own importance and rituals. Celebrations often begin with cleaning and decorating homes and workplaces: Dhanteras, Naraka Chaturdashi, Diwali, Govardhan Puja and Bhai Dooj. Diwali is not just a festival: it is a celebration of life, love and the triumph of good over evil. It brings together people from diverse backgrounds and communities with a sense of joy and unity. The traditions and customs of the festival vary, but the basic essence remains the same: the spreading of light and joy. Diwali is a time for reflection, renewal and strengthening bonds with family and friends, making it a truly special and beloved festival in the country of India. The winning teams in the Rangoli competition and lamp decorating competition will be felicitated by the school management. On the occasion, BBS Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini congratulated all the staff by giving Diwali gifts.
