Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Jayanti celebrated at Chandanvan Blooming Buds Senior Secondary School
which is a part of BBS Group of Schools, a reputed educational institution of District Moga, running under the able patronage of Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini. On this occasion, a special prayer meeting was organized in the school campus. Very beautiful charts related to the life of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji were made by the students of the school. The words were sung by the students. Addressing the students on this occasion, Madam Sarabjit Kaur, Mandeep Kaur Brar and Balveer Kaur told that Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji was the first Guru among the ten Sikh Gurus. His birthday is celebrated as Gurpurab in the world. Shri Guru Nanak Dev ji was born when the sins on earth were very rampant. After the advent of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the darkness of ignorance was removed and the light of knowledge spread all around. Guru ji took the world out of darkness and brought it to light. “Satguru Nanak appeared on the ground and the world became light. As the sun came out, the stars fell inside. “Guru Nanak Dev Ji was born on 1469 at Talwandi in Raibhoy at District Sekhpura. This holy place is known as Nankana Sahib in Pakistan. Shri Guru Nanak Dev ji was born to father Mehta Kalu from mother Tripta ji’s womb. The Pande to whom Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji was sent was also greatly impressed by the spiritual thoughts of Guru Ji. One day in Sultanpur, Guru Nanak Dev Ji went to take a bath in the holy river. Shri Guru Nanak Dev ji disappeared in the Vein river for three days, when Guru ji came out he had complete divine knowledge. Shri Guru Nanak Dev ji made four Udasis of East, West, North and South and met many Sufis, Fakirs, Gurus, Pandits and Qazis. Guru ji taught the society to live together, work hard, chant Naam and share. Director Madam Raman Sharma encouraged the students to follow the paths given by Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
