Blooming Buds School paid Tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on Martyrdom Day
Blooming Buds School, a renowned educational institution in Moga city, under the leadership of Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Madam Kamal Saini, the students paid emotional tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his death anniversary. On this occasion, the students presented charts and articles related to the life of Mahatma Gandhi. While presenting the article, said that Mahatma Gandhiji was known as Bapu. He is also called the father of the nation. He remained an unbreakable link of India’s freedom struggle. Mahatma Gandhi’s full name was Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. He was born on October 2, 1869 in Porbandar, Gujarat. He studied as a barrister from London and moved to South Africa where he held a satyagraha against the oppression of black people. On his return to India, he preached against the violence of the British rule and was a leader in the freedom struggle against the British rule. Nathuram Godse shot him dead at Birla House on January 30, 1948 during his evening prayers. Martyrs Day is celebrated on January 30 in memory of his martyrdom. On this occasion, the school principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani while addressing the students, said that Mahatma Gandhi ji united the whole of India with a peaceful struggle in which there was no place for violence. On the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi we should remember his teachings and struggle against the British rule. He was one of the most important members who helped India gain independence. On this day people of India should come together and remember the sacrifices of Mahatma Gandhi. All the students and staff were present on this occasion.
