Blooming School Moga, the famous educational institution of Moga city, running under the able leadership of group chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini, every day take some initiative to increase the knowledge of the students. As part of this series of initiatives, a special drill was organized in the school today under the guidelines of the Election Commission to acquaint the students with the electoral system regarding sweep activity. In view of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections in the country and the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the state of Punjab on June 1, the students were given detailed information about the entire electoral system and the entire system was also staged in an experimental manner. In this process, the eleventh class students presented in a very beautiful manner under the guidance of class teacher Mrs. Anita Rani. First of all, through charts and articles, they explained how the representatives of different parties in the electoral system come into the field to make themselves the representatives of the people and how the common citizen (voter) cast his vote for his favorite representative. After this, the students showed the complete procedure inside the polling booth in an experimental way, how to verify our identity card first. After that our vote is tallied and an ink mark is placed on the finger and after that we go inside a cabin to EVM in total secrecy. We cast our vote by pressing the button in front of our favorite representative or party on the machine. After this, the school principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani told the students that the entire responsibility of conducting elections in India without bias, fraud or rigging rests with the Election Commission which keeps its eye on the entire election process, the activities of the parties and their representatives and if any If there is a lapse in the conditions, then the Election Commission takes strict action against it. In addition to all this, there are many types of wrongdoing in the election, such as representatives of various parties trying to buy votes from people by giving them money, or drugs. She further said that the students should also motivate the voters in their homes and nearby so that everyone can use their vote properly. In the end, she said that today’s students are tomorrow’s voters, so it is the moral responsibility of every student to use their vote in the coming future keeping the interest of the country in mind.
