Blooming Buds School student informed about amendment in the Motor Vehicle Act 2019
Action will be taken against parents of children under 18 years of age if they are caught without a license - Kewal Singh
Blooming Buds School, a renowned educational institution of the area, which is moving forward under the leadership of Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini. In school seminars are organized from time to time to make the students aware about different topics. Today Under the leadership of school principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani and under the guidelines of S.S.P. Moga, the students were given detailed information about the amendment in Section 199-A and 199-B of the Motor Vehicle Act 2019. On this occasion Sr. Jora Singh Kagra DSP Traffic, Moga and ASI Kewal Singh, in-charge traffic education cell Moga, reached the school and met the students. He enlightened the students about the causes of road accidents and explained that if the traffic rules are not followed, the loss of life and property occurs in road accidents. Most of the accidents are due to the use of mobile phones while driving or driving the vehicle on the wrong side. Students were told about the amendment made by the government in Section 199-A and 199-B of the Motor Vehicle Act 2019 that under this new amendment, if any minor child is caught driving a two-wheeler or four-wheeler without a driving license, action will be taken against his parents and for this the parents may be punished with imprisonment of 3 years and a fine of up to Rs.25000/-. If a child is caught driving someone else’s vehicle without a license, the same action will be taken against the owner of the vehicle. He urged the students that this law is going to be implemented from August 1. Therefore, children who use motor vehicles should either get their license before August 1, otherwise they and their parents may face trouble in the future.
