Blooming Buds School Moga celebrated Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti
Blooming Buds School, a renowned educational institution in Moga city, under the leadership of Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini, often engages its students with their history and heritage, sharing information about important days and the lives of great people. Under this effort ‘Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti’ was celebrated in the school. On this occasion, students presented beautiful charts related to Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti and informative articles on the life of Maharishi Valmiki ji, in which information about Maharishi Valmiki ji was shared with other students. They said that Maharishi Valmiki ji composed the first Sanskrit epic which is world famous as ‘Valmiki Ramayana’. On this occasion, the school principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani, while shedding light on the life of Maharishi Valmiki, said that the first epic written by him was the Sanskrit language in which Puran Ram Gatha has been explained with the help of 24000 shlokas. In this epic, the seasons, the position of Sun-Moon and the position of many nakshatras have been described, which also proves that Maharishi Valmiki ji had extensive knowledge of astrology and astronomy. He is also called Adi-Kavi. We get to learn a lot from their life. She further said that Maharishi Valmiki ji was influenced by an incident in his life and changed his life path and went on to become one of the revered poets and called Adi-Kavi. According to the Ramayana, when Queen Sita was given exile, She spent this time in Maharishi Valmiki’s ashram. It was in this ashram that Sita gave birth to Love-Kush. During their upbringing Maharishi Valmiki ji taught them religion and weapons. She further informed that in North India this day is also celebrated as ‘Pragat Diwas’. All the students and staff were present on this occasion.
