Blooming Buds School, a renowned educational institution of the area, under the able leadership of BBS Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini and as per guidelines of School Principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani, took a commendable initiative, with the support of Moga Medicity Hospital by organizing a free health check-up camp for its students. The camp was held on November 9, with the aim of ensuring students’ well-being by providing a comprehensive health assessment. In this camp especially renowned medical expert, Hon’ble Dr. Harjinder Singh Sidhu (ENT Specialist) and experienced audiologist and speech therapist Dr. Dilpreet Singh conducted a thorough examination to consult the parents of the students. During this camp, the eyes, ears, nose and throat of the students were examined. In particular, the students’ speech was tested through audiometer. Students showing signs of any impairment were recommended for speech therapy or other medical evaluation. The main objective of organizing this camp was to make parents aware about proper treatment of speech and hearing problems occurring in students. Because it has been observed that 5-10% of children have speech and hearing impairment, especially in which most of the children are in the age group of 3 to 10 years. Due to lack of awareness, parents fail to treat it and this weakness increases in children. Because of this, such a health check-up camp was organized in the school so that if the weakness of the children is detected at an early age, then their treatment can be done on time. It is worth mentioning that Blooming Buds School has been continuously demonstrating its commitment to child development and is also showing its involvement in social work. A blood donation camp was also organized in the school some time ago. By organizing such health initiatives, the school empowers parents to make decisions about their children’s health and well-being. On this occasion, General Manager Mr. Ajay Negi of Moga Medicity Hospital and examining doctors were thanked by the school management and assured to provide health related services at the school in the future.
