Blooming Buds School, a renowned educational institution of Moga city, organized a special meeting on the martyrdom anniversary of ‘Hind Di Chadar’ Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji under the leadership of Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Mrs.  Kamal Saini during which students presented charts and Articles. While sharing information, the students said that Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji was born on 1st April 1621 AD at Amritsar, Punjab. He was the ninth Guru of the Sikh Panth. His childhood name was Tyaga Mall. Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji was his father and mother Nanaki Ji. He was married to Mata Gujriji, daughter of Bhai Lal Chand, and was blessed with a son. School Principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani told the children that the pleas of the Kashmiri Pandits who were victims of Aurangzeb’s oppression were not heard anywhere, so a group of 16 Kashmiri Brahmins came to Chak Nanki and told Guru Sahib that we are fed up with the oppression of the Mughals. He is forcefully converting hundreds of Brahmins into Muslims every day. Now our last hope is Guru Sahib only. Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib assured to help the Brahmins. After this, Guru Ji started saying that at this time there is a need for martyrdom of a great soul. Bal Gobind Rai ji said that who can be a great man other than you? Protect their sinking religion by giving your sacrifice. Guru ji told the Kashmiri Pandits that you go with confidence and tell Aurangzeb to  First make our Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib a Muslim. If he accept Islam, then we will happily accept Islam religion. In this way Guru ji Bhai Mati Das ji, Bhai Sati Das ji, Bhai Jaita ji and Bhai Dyala ji etc. went to Delhi to offer sacrifice. When Guruji was brought before Aurangzeb who was intoxicated with Islam, he persuaded him to accept Islam. But Guru refused. Finally, on 11th November, 1675 AD, Guru Sahib’s head was separated from his body with a sword at Chandni Chowk. Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini told the children that Shri Guru Teg Bahadur ji who was the ninth Guru of Sikhs is an inspiration throughout his life. He is also honored as ‘Hind Di Chadar’ because he sacrificed his life for the protection of religion. With the sacrifice of Guru Tegh Bahadurji, the oppressed common people of India, victims of Mughal oppression, became ready to fight and make sacrifices against the Mughals. Such programs are often conducted in schools to familiarize students with religion and history.
