17th BBS Games 2024, Mashal and Sports Flag handed over to School and House Captains
38 sports, 22 track and field events introduced for inter-house competitions – Sanjeev Saini
Blooming Buds School, a renowned educational institution of Moga city, organised a special program where Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini, Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini, School Principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani and Vice Principal Mrs. Nidhi Brar handed over the 17th BBS Games 2024 Torch (Mashal) and Sports Flag to School and House Captains. A lot of enthusiasm was seen among the students at the beginning of these games. On this occasion, group chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini while addressing the students, said that every student must participate in the annual event of BBS Games 2024 and maintain sportsmanship and discipline during the games. He said that we should participate in sports with full enthusiasm and sincerity, because sports not only provide physical benefits but also mental development. He further said that in 17th B. B. S. Games 2024, 38 types of indoor-outdoor games and around 22 track and field events, in total students have around 60 options in which they can participate and win medals by showcasing their sports. During this conversation, school principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani said that this sports flag is hoisted along with the national and school flags during the BBS games that have been going on for many years. She said that the flag of BBS Games which boosts the enthusiasm of the players. It has four rings representing the four house teams of the school which are red, green, blue and yellow. Matches are played between these house teams and the winning players are honored with medals and trophies. The competition of these games has started today by releasing the torch and sports flag, now quarter finals, semi-finals and several final matches will be held for 38 sports. The winning players and teams will be honored with medals and trophies on the day of the annual event. Along with this, this event is not only a combination of sports but also a cultural program. During this, the BBS sports torch was lit and given to the school captains and after that the torch was carried around the ground by the house captains led by the bagpiper band. It may be mentioned that Blooming Buds School has always been a pioneer in providing international level platform for players so that players can shine the name their school, parents and district by showcasing their sports. She expressed his sincere gratitude to the school management for providing all necessary and modern facilities to the students in the institution in addition to studies as well as sports so that the children can have an all-round development.
