Blooming Buds School paid Tribute to martyrs of Kargil on 25th Kargil Vijay Diwas

Blooming Buds School Moga, a renowned educational institution of Moga city, under the able leadership of Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini has made a distinct identity in the region. Today a special assembly was held to commemorate the martyrs of the Kargil war between India and Pakistan. During which Kargil war was discussed. Charts and articles related to this day were presented by the students. Presenting the article, they said that this day is celebrated every year on July 26 to commemorate the victory achieved by the Indian forces in the Kargil war and to pay tribute to the Indian heroes who sacrificed their lives during this terrible war. In the school, the students paid homage to the martyrdom of the martyred heroes, offered flowers of devotion and saluted the martyrdom of the Indian heroes. Shared information about the heroism of hundreds of martyrs who died in Kargil war with other students they said that in May 1999, Pakistani forces crossed the LOC as infiltrators. Violating the norms of India entered the borders and built their bunkers in different areas of Kargil district of Jammu and Kashmir like Batalik, Daras and Mushkoh Valley to grab Indian land. At that time the current Prime Minister of India Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee and President K. R. Narayanan ordered the Indian forces to retaliate against this nefarious act of Pakistan. This joint operation of Air Force and Indian Army to liberate Indian land from Pakistani forces was named ‘Operation Vijay’. The Indian Navy, Army and Air Force put their lives on the line for the success of ‘Operation Vijay’ and attacked the Pakistani intruders. There was no doubt that the enemy force on the heights was heavy compared to the Indian forces, but due to the courage, patriotism and spirit of sacrifice of the Indian forces, on 4th July 1999, the tricolor was hoisted again on Tiger Hill. On 14 July 1999, the Prime Minister of India declared Operation Vijay a success and on 26 July the Kargil War ended. This victory is celebrated as ‘Victory Day’. School Principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani told the students that the Kargil war was a very deadly war. The results were very dire. 527 brave sons of Bharat Mata were martyred in this war and around 1363 soldiers were injured. Two fighter jets and a helicopter of the Indian Air Force were also destroyed in this war. After the success of Operation Vijay, the Government of India honored its brave martyrs by giving 4 Paramvir Chakras, 11 Mahavir Chakras and many gallantry awards. She also said that the Kargil war was the world’s most high-altitude war. She gave a message to the students that we should never forget the martyrdom of our brave soldiers and learn from their bravery.
