Teej festival an integral part of Punjabi culture: Kamal Saini
Blooming Buds School, a renowned educational institution of Moga city, under the leadership of Group Chairman Dr. Sanjiv Kumar Saini and Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini, is making new achievements in the field of education and sports, as well as contributing richly in cultural activities. Encouraging the same thought among students, the festival of ‘Teez’ was celebrated by the girls in the school today. Charts and articles related to this day were submitted by the students. The grown-up girls looked beautiful in traditional Punjabi dresses, steeped in ancient Punjabi culture. By them Punjabi folk dance ‘Giddha’ was performed on Punjabi dialects. Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini encouraged the children and said that the culture of our Punjab is very rich. While Punjabi people are known for their bravery, Punjabis have no competition when it comes to having fun. She further said that ‘Teez’ is a festival of Sawan month which is a symbol of greenery and prosperity. School Principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani said that nowadays life is running at a very fast pace. Everyone is working day and night wishing for a better future and due to this rush we are moving away from our culture. It is the moral and social responsibility of all of us to make such efforts so that our future generation can get more information about Punjabi culture. Therefore, such cultural programs will continue to be conducted in the school. Finally, Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini and School Principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani congratulated all the staff on ‘Teez’.
