The influence of the western culture on the rich Punjabi culture has made the threshing floor disappear from the villages. Three or four decades ago, in villages and cities, girls used to gather outside the village and share their sorrows with each other. The women who have seen this environment in their childhood have a desire to visit this again. On this occasion, In this program Students also participated in Mehndi competition. The role of stage management was well played by Gurjot Kaur, a student of 10+2 class. On this occasion, school teachers Madam Jasveer Kaur and Jaspreet Kaur while addressing the students told that the festival starts on the third day of the month of Sawan and ends on night of full moon. According to custom, parents bring their daughters to their house before the beginning of the month of Sawan. Girls apply henna on their hands and also wear colorful bangles. Then in the evening they get ready and go to a common place, enjoy swings, perform Giddha etc. On this occasion, a very beautiful dance was presented by the students of the Kindergarten section.
