Blooming Buds School Moga, a renowned educational institution of Moga city celebrated the 92nd Air Force Day of India with full enthusiasm under the able leadership of Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini. During the morning assembly in the school, the students presented beautiful charts and informative articles related to the Indian Air Force. Students shared this information Indian Air Force is the third most powerful force in the world. Indian Air Force has 1,70,576 active personnel and 1,40,000 personnel in reserve. The Indian Air Force has around 1800 aircraft and around 900 fighter jets. These include powerful fighter jets like Rafale, Sukhoi, MiG-29, Miraz, Tejas, Jaguar and MiG-21. Apart from this, powerful fighter jets and cargo helicopters like CH-47, Chinook, Dhruv, Cheetah, Mi-8, Mi-17, Mi-26, Apache and Rudra are also the strength of the Indian Air Force. At present the Supreme Commander of the Indian Air Force is the President of India Honorable Draupadi Murmu and the Chief Officer of the Indian Air Force is Air Chief Marshal Amarpreet Singh. On this occasion, the school chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini while adding to the knowledge of the students, said that the Indian Air Force was formed by the British Government on October 8, 1932 under the name of ‘Royal Indian Air Force’ and this Air Force fought for the British in the Second World War. After this, when India became free from British rule in 1947, the name of the Indian Air Force was kept as ‘Royal Indian Air Force’, but in 1950, when India became a democratic nation, the word ‘Royal’ was removed from the name of the Indian Air Force. Since 1950, the Indian Air Force has shown its strength in 4 wars, namely, with China in 1962, with Pakistan in 1965, with Pakistan in 1971 and again with Pakistan in the Kargil War in 1999, and each time borders have been successfully defended by the Indian Air Force. School Principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani told the students that in today’s scientific age, the power of a country depends entirely on its air power. She also said that in the beginning only men could join the Indian Air Force, but now the daughters of India also have this right. She inspired the children that they too can become a part of the Indian Air Force by getting higher education. All staff and students were present on this occasion.
