The history related to this is that on this day Maa Durga killed a demon named ‘Mahishasura’ to protect religion, hence this day is also called Vijayadashami. Apart from this, in parts of North India, Central India and Western India, this day is celebrated in memory of Shri Ram Chandra, an avatar of Lord Vishnu and the legend is popular that on this day Shri Ram Chandra killed the ten-headed king Ravana. Due to which it is also celebrated as ‘Dusehra’. Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini ji told the students that no matter how strong evil is, one day goodness will end it. Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Sainiji told the children that Dussehra gives us a message to eliminate the evil within us. Dussehra does not mean the end of a bad person but it symbolizes the end of evil. The best way to celebrate Dussehra would be to burn the evil within us.
