Under this series, Udeypal Singh, a student of the school, has brought glory to his school, his parents, his village, his district and the state by winning the gold medal in the national level football tournament. Sharing information in detail on this subject, she said that the ‘Khelo Indian Kids Football Championship’ was held at Goa on 4-5 October. Teams from 16 states across the country participated in this national level championship, which included the states of Punjab, Mumbai, Goa, Kerala, Gujarat, Meghalaya, Delhi, Jammu, Tamil Nadu. It is a matter of pride that Udeypal Singh, a 12th Commerce student of Blooming Buds School, was part of the winning Punjab team in this championship. Udeypal Singh scored 5 goals for the Punjab team while playing at the left wing forward position. The Punjab team reached the final after defeating Mumbai in the first league match, Kerala in the quarter-finals, Gujarat in the semi-finals by 4-0. In the final match, the Punjab team won 1-0 in a very tight match with the host Goa team. Gold medals and certificates were distributed to all the players for this victory and the winning trophy was also won by the Punjab team. She further said that Udeypal Singh first qualified in the district level trial and later after qualifying in the state level trial he was selected in the Punjab team. The school principal honored Udeypal by calling him on the stage during the morning assembly. School Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini congratulated Udeypal Singh and wished him all the best for the future. She said that the achievement of this student is a matter of great pride for the school.
