Blooming Buds School Moga Celebrated ‘Diwali’ Festival and ‘Bandi Chhor’ Divas

Blooming Buds School, a renowned educational institution of Moga city celebrated Diwali and Bandi Chhor Diwas under the able leadership of Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini. The morning meeting began with the singing of ‘shabad’ associated with the Bandi Chhor Diwas. Students presented beautiful charts and informative articles on the occasion of Diwali and Bandi Chhor Diwas. Very beautiful dances were presented by the students of 2nd, 4th and 6th classes. Senior class students recited poems related to Diwali and Bandi Chhor Diwas. Apart from this, very beautiful rangolis were also made by the students. The students shared the information in detail that Bandi Chhor Diwas (Liberation Day) is an important festival of Punjab celebrated in the month of Assu. They said that when the sixth guru Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib was declared accused of encouraging rebellion in Punjab and was detained in the Gwalior Fort, then with the arrival of Guru Sahib, Kirtan and Satsang began to be held both times in the Gwalior Fort. Sai Mian Mir successfully negotiated with Jahangir regarding the Guru’s release. But Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji did not accept to be released from the fort alone. Due to the grace of Guru Sahib, 52 Rajput kings detained in the fort were also freed from captivity. From this day, the sixth Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji came to be known as the giver of ‘bandi-chhor’. After the release, Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib arrived at Sri Amritsar Sahib, that day was the day of Diwali, so the devotees lit ghee lamps in their homes to welcome the Guru. At Sri Harmandir Sahib, Deepmala was also done in happiness. On the occasion of Diwali and Bandi Chhor Diwas, students exhibited their handmade decorative items such as colorful lamps, flower garlands, fringes, cards, candles and other decorative items. School Principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani while Introducing the history of Diwali, said that India is known as the country of fairs and festivals. Among them, Diwali is one such festival which is celebrated by people of all religions together. Diwali is celebrated on the first day of the desi month of Katak (Kartik). On this day Lord Vishnu’s incarnation Sri Rama Chandra came back to Ayodhya with his wife Sita and younger brother Lakshman after fourteen years of exile. On this auspicious occasion, all the residents of Ayodhya lit Deepmala to express their happiness, dispel the darkness of Masya and illuminate their path. School Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini ji said that this festival is also related to the change of seasons. After this day, the summer season ends and the winter season begins. She gave a message to the children that while celebrating this festival, we also need to take care of our responsibility towards the environment. Seeing the increasing pollution, she inspired the children to celebrate Green Diwali to prevent the environment from getting polluted. The student also took a vow to celebrate a pollution-free Diwali. School Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini while addressing the staff said that BBS group wishes that this Diwali brings happiness, peace and prosperity to everyone. Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Mrs Kamal Saini conveyed a green and happy Diwali message to all the staff and students and gave sweets and gifts to all the staff and also wished them a Happy Diwali.
