Blooming Buds School Students and staff were made aware of women’s cancer

Blooming Buds School, the renowned educational institution of Moga city, under the able leadership of group chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini, students and staff of the school were sensitized about women’s cancer under the ‘Swasth Mahila Swasth Bharat’ campaign. The team from Yuvraj Singh Foundation ‘YouWeCan’ in which Dr. Kirandeep Kaur (Regional Manager), Dr. Ayushi and Mehak (Cluster Coordinators) were involved, said that today in India, a woman dies every 6 minutes due to breast cancer, which is an alarming thing in view of women’s health and safety. One of the major reasons for this is breast cancer not being diagnosed at an early stage. If breast cancer is detected at an early stage, then its treatment is possible, In the fight against ‘breast cancer’  the campaign ‘Swasth Mahila, Swasth Bharat’ is launched by former cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s organization ‘YouWeCan’. A target of screening of 1.5 lakh women has been set. The main goals of this organization are to increase awareness about the risk of breast cancer and promote awareness about ‘Self Breast Examination’, early detection and timely treatment of breast cancer, to strengthen the ‘National Cancel Control Program’ with strong participation of government and non-government organizations. She also shared the information that so far about 1 lakh 12 thousand women have been screened for breast cancer, out of which 2327 suspected patients have been found, 58 cases have been found positive and 53 women are under treatment. She explained in detail about self breast examination to the women how they can check themselves every month whether they have any symptoms of breast cancer or not. She also said that it is often seen that when a patient is found to be cancer positive, he dies of the fear of this disease, but this is not right, today due to the progress in science and medical line, cancer can be cured. Even such a deadly disease can be defeated, so there is no need to fear cancer. On this occasion, screening of the female staff of the school was also done. It is worth mentioning that along with studies and sports, many awareness camps are also organized in the school so that everyone can stay healthy. On this occasion, the school principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani and Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini thanked the team and praised the campaign launched by Yuvraj Singh Foundation ‘YouWeCan’.
