Blooming Buds ABC Montessori School, part of Blooming Buds School, a renowned educational institution in Moga, under the leadership of Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini celebrated Lohri festival with great fanfare. Children presented charts, articles and poems related to this day. School Principal Paramjit Kaur congratulated all the staff on this auspicious day. Meanwhile, Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini while congratulating everyone and shedding light on the history of this holy day said that Lohri day is not only related to wheat and mustard crop but there is also a historical event behind it according to which a warrior named Dulla Bhatti, saved the two Brahmin girls from the Mughal ruler and took them to the forest at night to get them married. From this very day, the folk song “Sunder Mundriye, Tera Kaun vichara” which is often sung on the occasion of Lohri has come into existence. On this occasion, the school management distributed peanuts, rice and sweetmeats to all the school staff.
