Shri Guru Ravidas Jayanti was celebrated during the morning assembly under the leadership of Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini in Blooming Buds School, a renowned educational institution of the local city. In which charts and articles related to Bhagat Ravidas Ji’s life were presented by the students. Throwing light on his biography, the students said that he was born in 1377 AD in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. His birthday is celebrated on Magha Purnima (full moon of Magha month). This year, it is on February 4. No caste division had any effect on Ravidas Ji’s life. He always worked above caste. Bhagat Ravidas Ji was a great philosopher. He taught people to attain God by following the path of devotion. Their love for the Lord can be seen in his creation. Bhagat Ravidas advocated equality and dignity for all irrespective of caste. They promoted gender equality and opposed the division of society on the basis of gender or caste. On this occasion, the school principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani explained that Bhagat Ravidas wrote many hymns and some of them were adopted by the holy book of Sikhism, Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. He was also a prominent social reformer. They worked religiously to improve society and remove caste prejudices. We should guide our lives by following the teachings of Bhagat Ravidas Ji. He further said that such days are often celebrated in the school so that the students can know about the great saints and devotees born in India. School staff and students were present on this occasion.
