Blooming Buds School, Moga, a renowned educational institution of Moga city running under the able leadership of Chairman Dr. Sanjiv Kumar Saini and Chairperson Madam Kamal Saini hosted a CBSE Seminar arranged by COE cell whose main agenda was ‘National Education Policy-2020’. During this seminar CBSC Resource Persons were Mrs. Vandana Shahi (Principal), from Ludhiana and Ms. Sharmila (Deputy Director) from Jalandhar. The staff was given detailed information about the ‘National Education Policy-2020’. Sharing information about this, they said that the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 is a policy document that outlines the vision of India’s new education system. The new Education Policy 2020 has replaced the previous National Education Policy 1986 of India. The policy is a comprehensive framework for basic education as well as vocational training in rural and urban areas. The policy aims to transform India’s education system by 2030. NEP Some of the key features of 2020 are to use mother tongue or local language as the medium of instruction up to class 5, to revise the existing 10+2 structure in school education with a new pedagogy and curriculum restructuring of 5+3+3+4. Emphasis on multiple entry and exit points to allow students to learn at their own pace and interests, increased focus on vocational education to make vocational education as attractive as academic education, Emphasis on research and innovation to create an educated society and make India a global leader in research and innovation. NEP is a comprehensive and forward-looking policy document that aims to transform India’s education system. This is an important step towards making India a knowledge superpower. NEP 2020 has some advantages such as quality education, multiple entry and exit points, and improving learning outcomes by focusing on vocational education, policy skill development and employment by focusing on research and innovation. Increases opportunities. The policy reduces regional disparities by providing quality education to all sections of the society. The policy aims to improve national competitiveness by making India a global leader in research and innovation. On this occasion, the school principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani appreciating the initiative taken by the cell, she said that there is no doubt that knowledge of education policy is very important and can be beneficial for schools, students and teachers in the future.
