
Blooming Buds School, Moga celebrated ‘International Day of Girl Child’
Blooming Buds School, Moga, a renowned educational institution of Moga city, under the leadership of Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and Chairperson Madam Kamal Saini celebrated ‘International Day of Girl Child’. On this occasion, charts and articles related to this day were presented by the students. The students shared their information related to the ‘International Day of the Girl Child’ with other students. School Principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani said that UNO For the first time in 2012, celebrated October 11 as ‘International Day of the Girl Child’. This decision was taken to protect the girl child from female infanticide, to create a healthy and safe environment for the girl child and to make people aware of the issue of female infanticide. The main objective of the campaign is to support more opportunities for girls, raise awareness about gender inequality faced by girls worldwide, ensure nutrition, legal rights, medical care and protection for girls from discrimination, stop violence against women and stop forced child marriage. Chairperson Madam Kamal Saini ji while addressing said that a woman has a great contribution to build a good society, but due to the conservative thinking of the old society, the birth of a girl child was considered bad. Due to which lakhs of girl children fell victim to feticide. She further said that now with the spread of education all around, a new consciousness has come in the society, people are now becoming aware that both boy and girl are necessary for the progress of the family, society and the country. Apart from this, governments at the global level are making many efforts for the rights of girls. All the staff of the school were present on this occasion.
