Information given to students through charts and articles – Principal
International Mother Earth Day was celebrated in Blooming Buds School, a renowned educational institution of the area, under the able leadership of Group Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saini and School Chairperson Madam Kamal Saini. On the occasion various activities related to the protection of the earth and environment are conducted from time to time in the school, such as not using plastic, taking care of water and other natural resources, etc. Under this campaign, on the occasion of Earth Day, students presented charts and articles related to this day. Presenting the article, they said that every year, April 22 is celebrated as International Mother Earth Day. The day is observed to create awareness among people about pollution and other activities that directly or indirectly harm the environment and result in the destruction of the planet. In the 1970s, Earth Day was established by Senator Gaylord Nelson to encourage conservation of the environment and raise awareness of concerns surrounding the Earth. Every year this day is celebrated under a particular theme. The theme of this year’s International Mother Earth Day 2024 is ‘Planet vs Plastic’. This theme highlights the need for people to come together and stop using plastic. Climate change is no longer a distant thing in the future and with the increasing incidence of floods and fires, it is important to take stock of the situation and act accordingly. Due to the continuous use of plastic and cutting of trees by other people, the earth is also suffering a lot of damage, at the same time, due to the technological age, every country is ignoring the damage to the environment in the race to be better than others. The need of the hour is to make sure that every effort is made to save the environment. During this school principal Dr. Hamiliya Rani said that every student must plant at least one tree in his life and take care of it. A painting competition was also organized in the school in connection with Earth Day in which the students were asked to depict different ways of saving the environment through painting.
