Various activities are organized by the school from time to time on different occasions, under which ‘International Athletic Day’ was celebrated in the school today. During which the students participated in various track events. Firstly 100m sprint for U-11 boys and girls, 200m race for U-14, U-17 boys and girls, 100m race for U-19 girls and Hurdle race for U-19 boys were conducted. Students of every house participated in these races with great enthusiasm. On this occasion, the school principal Dr. Hamiliya Ranii while sharing information about this day said that ‘International Athletic Day’ is organized every year by IAAF. (International Mature Athletic Federation) is conducted on May 7 every year. First of all this day was celebrated in the year 1996. She further informed that more than 100 sports federations celebrate this day every year. The main objective of celebrating this day is to promote sports, exercise and good healthy living. Every year this day is celebrated under a specific theme. The theme for the year 2024 is ‘World Mile Challenge’. Apart from this, to attract the youth towards sports, to prioritize athletics as the primary sport in schools and other educational institutions, to increase the awareness of sports among people, to establish a strong relationship between sports and youth, etc. are the other main objectives. On this occasion, Chairperson Mrs. Kamal Saini said that Blooming Buds School has always been a leader in providing international level platform for players so that players can shine the name of their school, parents and district by performing their sport. She further said that the school management has provided all necessary and modern facilities to the students in education as well as in sports so that the children can have an all-round development.
